Approved contractor on a Framework
In 2023, we were appointed as an approved Contractor working in conjunction with Newark and Sherwood District Council to complete and deliver a site at Dale Lane, Blidworth.
The scheme formed part of the Council’s HRA New Build Housing programme.
Alongside NSDC & Studio G, we won ‘Best Small Social Housing Development’ for this project in the 2024 Regional LABC Awards.
The development comprised seven new homes, four 1-bed properties and three 2-bed houses, arranged within a compact 0.1-hectare site with 100% onsite parking provision.
The site had been cleared and prepared, requiring full construction delivery in accordance with existing planning permissions and the Employer’s Requirements. As principal contractor, we assumed responsibility for coordinating subcontractors, managing utilities and statutory approvals, discharging planning conditions and delivering the homes in full compliance with current Building Regulations and warranty standards.
The project required close liaison with Building Control, careful programming and structured reporting to ensure smooth progression through to completion.
Set within an established residential area, the scheme demanded considerate site management, secure hoarding, safe pedestrian routing and clear communication with neighbouring residents. Off-site highway works, new driveway access points and associated drainage coordination formed part of the delivery strategy.
The completed development now provides high-quality, energy-efficient local authority homes that integrate positively into the existing streetscape of Dale Lane in Blidworth, transforming a part-completed site into a fully realised residential scheme.
