Gusto Construction was founded in 1998, built on a vision of delivering high-quality, thoughtfully designed buildings. Nearly three decades on, this remains at the heart of everything we do.
Our History
Gusto Construction was founded by brothers Steff & Jerome Wright, with a focus on sustainability-led design and construction, despite the lack of legislative drivers at the time.
Since then, the team has grown and Gusto Construction have built some of the UK’s most energy-efficient homes through our Gusto Homes brand. Now we can bring this expertise to your next project as a contractor.

We pride ourselves on building high-quality developments ranging from affordable housing, low-energy, super efficient homes to community-led developments and retirement living across Nottinghamshire & Lincolnshire.
Sustainability
Sustainability is one of our core values, and has been from the very start.
Our first development, Millennium Green, was built to three times the building regulations at the time. Over the last 25 years, we have built to a variety of specifications, from a general enhancement of building regulations using traditional construction, to timber frame and insulated concrete formwork construction delivering the equivalent of Passivhaus standard.
In 2023, we achieved B Corp Certification! We are now part of a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact. We must recertify every 3 years to ensure we are aligning with B Corp’s evolving standards.
For us, sustainability isn’t only environmental, it’s also about building a business that supports our people. This is why we are transitioning to an Employee Owned Trust (EOT) in 2027; handing the future of the company to those who built it.
