Cool Milk

Commercial Office Space, Langworth

Client: Cool Milk

Architect: Studio G

A fabric-first approach was taken on this project, with walls constructed using a thin joint block system to maximise airtightness and thermal mass. The external vertical timber boarding reflected the character of agricultural buildings in the area, with a sacrificial plinth incorporated to minimise remedial work in the event of flooding.

Technologies were selected to complement the building's performance, including:

  • Air source heat pumps with MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery)

  • Solar PV array

  • Rainwater harvesting system

We delivered the construction of this two-storey sustainable office building, designed to sit within the footprint of an existing bungalow.
